Category P Systems (Property Protection)

• P1: Provides coverage for the entire building.
• P2: Provides coverage for specific parts of the building.

Category L Systems (Life Protection)

• L1: Automatic fire detection (AFD) in all areas of the building.
• L2: AFD in escape routes and high-risk areas.
• L3: AFD in escape routes and rooms opening onto escape routes.
• L4: AFD in escape routes only.
• L5: AFD in areas with specific risks identified.

Category M Systems (Manual Systems)

• M: Manual operation only, with call points on exits and corridors.
